Spiral Conveyors
It depends. We have different types of spiral conveyors. We have the Single Lane-, Dual Lane-, Heavy Duty-, Mass Flow-, Narrow Trak– and Wide Trak spiral conveyors. Which spiral conveyor suits your needs, really depends on some factors, such as the products or the amount of products. How many space do you have? For full bottles our Mass Flow conveyor could suit your needs. For really small loads, you can think about the Narrow Trak conveyor. We would love to discuss the possibilities with you.
Options
Our Spiral Conveyors can be modified with several options.
One of the key benefits of Apollo’s design is it’s modularity. Our machines are divided into different, separate modules that can be interchanged. Modification is simple, even after installation. The benefit is the ability to be shipped in pieces if the building height or transportation inhibit the installation of it whole. They are constructed with nuts and bolts, instead of welding. Therefore, parts can be replaced or changed to another design easily.
Features and benefits
Only one drive motor is required, resulting in substantial savings in energy, controls and systems integration.
Standardized components form rigid and precise structures that can handle high weights and can
be built to seismic specifications.
The overlapping slats creates a reliable conveying surface that reduces pinch points that damage the products and increase operator safety.
A center chain, bearings, and rails drive the conveyor, applying rolling friction. This eliminatesthe need for center weight distribution and allows fully loaded start/stop.
Available in powder-coated steel, stainless steel washdown, or hybrid. Special applications for low temperature (freezer applications), heat-tolerant, and FDA detectable slats. Powder-coated versions are available in any choice of RAL color. Whether it’s in your brand’s color, to match other equipment, or applying a safety color, we’ve got you covered!
Our standard design features a horizontal transition to adjoining conveyors, which is gentler on the machines and assures a smooth and reliable transition for products.
All Apollo Spiral Conveyors are equipped with an automatic chain tensioning device and built-in overload protection as a standard. This helps save both the Spiral and the product it is conveying.

Frequently asked questions:
What is a conveyor system?
A spiral conveyor is a vertical transport system that transports products upwards or downwards in a spiral motion. The major advantage of this is that the spiral design allows products to be transported straight upwards, which is very space-efficient.
How does a spiral conveyor work?
A spiral conveyor works by continuously moving products up or down along a spiral shaped conveyor belt wrapped around a central column or drum.
What are the key advantages of a spiral conveyor?
The main advantage of spiral conveyors is their compact design. Thanks to this compact design, spiral conveyors take up minimal floor space to move products vertically, leaving more room for other machines.
Other advantages include the continuous and consistent flow of products and the fact that they can handle large capacities, both in terms of weight and quantity.
