How it works

This Vertical Spiral Conveyor consists of a conveyor belt that revolves around a centre. It can be used for the vertical transportation of a wide range of products, creating an efficient production line or simplify order picking for large operations. By using a Vertical Spiral Conveyor, you achieve valuable space savings, as the products will be conveyed through height instead of length. The Single Lane Spiral Conveyor System uses one lane for material handling.

Characteristics

Our Single Lane Conveyors are equipped with a guiding system, including precision low friction bearings: the slats run free from supports so there’s only rolling friction. No lubrication is needed, which results in a low noise level, clean transport and less maintenance. All of this makes it possible to design the Spiral Conveyor with only one motor, which saves a lot of energy. With a speed of 60 meter per minute and loads up to 50 kilogram per meter, the Single Lane facilitates a high continuous throughput.

The Single Lane Spiral Conveyor is built with a modular design and has a small footprint. This has a few benefits, such as saving lots of floor space, but it also makes them very easy to install. Most of the time, the conveyors are transported in one piece, so they can be installed directly in the preferred position.

For what types of products can it be used?

There are multiple applications suitable for the Single Lane Spiral Conveyor such as; bags, bundles, totes, trays, cans, bottles, containers, cartons and wrapped and unwrapped items. Apollo designs Spiral Conveyors which are able to work in several types of industries: food industry, beverage industry, newspaper industry, pet food & personal care industry and many others.

Types and Models

The Single Lane Spiral Conveyor consists of 4 standard models and types that can be customized and modified in the field to accommodate emerging needs and requirements. All Spirals are equipped with an infeed and outfeed, which can be placed in different directions. Spirals can transport products up and down and can be made reversible. The models mostly differ in the location of the infeeds and outfeeds, but also in diameter and width of the belt. There are also several configurations to be chosen from, such as the side guarding and the base structure. For example, the side guard can be coated in a specified RAL colour or executed in stainless steel.

Apart from the Single Lane Spiral Conveyor, we offer many more options for Vertical Conveying, such as the Dual Lane Spiral Conveyor and the Mass Flow Spiral Conveyor.
